The MMR Performance Charge Coolers for the S63-powered BMW M5 & M6 F1x plus M5 F90 improves power and torque output significantly by substantially reducing charge air temperatures. Using a large tube and fin stepped core, these coolers provide literally double the cooling area and almost 28% larger per cooler than OE.

The factory charge coolers used on the S63 engine have proved to be unable to cope with the demands of higher power, hard driven cars, showing up as serious power losses during hard driving as air intake temperatures soar.

Our massive replacement Charge Coolers are the best performing cooler upgrade on offer for the S63. The intercooler core was developed specifically for the high requirements of the F1x & F9x M-cars. Using a large tube and fin stepped core, our performance charge coolers provides literally double the cooling area and almost 28% larger per cooler than OE, too.

Our development focussed on finding the ‘sweet spot’ of maximum IAT cooling versus minimum pressure loss. This has allowed us to achieve increased size without increased lag. By consistently reducing intake air temperatures (IAT), heat soak is minimised delivering increased performance again and again. No need for the recovery cool-down times needed for the production cooler.

The core itself uses internal turbulators to improve its cooling performance and the CFD optimised cast end tanks assist with maintaining the best possible airflow across the core.
